At Yorke Building Co, we specialise in the out-of-the-ordinary projects. From restoring and modernising a hundred-year-old homestead to building your architectural dream home, we take great pride in taking on the challenging, unique yet rewarding jobs. From concept to completion, we streamline the entire process to deliver outstanding outcomes for our valued clients.
We’ve established a strong reputation based on the calibre of our workmanship. By consistently producing quality work, our mission is to retain our position as the premier high-end building company on the Yorke Peninsula. Yorke Building Co is proudly family-owned and run.
Originally established in 2014 as Van Schaik Carpentry, and after recently partnering with Woodsmade SA – Yorke Building Co Brings together more than 25 years experience in the building industry. Our Managing Directors Tom Van Schaik & Travis Woods both enjoy the challenges of custom home building, technical renovation projects and the satisfaction that come from creating beautiful homes
We take the time to listen and build sound working relationships with our clients, contractors, suppliers and the broader community. We give back to our local community through employment, sponsorships of various netball, football and cricket teams, and we predominantly use local trades.

Whether you wish to add an outdoor kitchen, pergola or deck, we can help. Our team construct composite and timber decks, timber and steel pergolas, and stunning outdoor kitchens. On completion, you’ll be set up and ready to make the most of the fabulous outdoor lifestyle.
NEED ROOFING REPAIRS OR A NEW ROOF?
The Yorke Building Co team provides re-roofing, roof repairs and alteration services, including guttering and flashing replacement. Ensure the longevity of your Colorbond, Zincalume or galvanised roof with our expert repairs or complete replacement service.

Yes, we build bespoke, architecturally designed new homes. We’ve completed numerous large and modern homes to suit a range of designs and tastes.
We have a huge range of preferred suppliers and showrooms for our clients to utilise. This includes everything from the large, well-known suppliers to the smaller boutique showrooms, there’s options to suit all styles.
Strictly 7.30am to 4.30pm weekdays. Calls and emails received outside these hours will be answered the next business day.
We can provide a list of architects and draftsmen that we recommend and like to work with for you to engage with and begin the design process.
